Using mindaps in class

Hello again! Hope you are feeling good 馃榾 Today I bring you a new tool: mindpas. They are useful for a lot of things such as organising, studying, reviewing, preparing a presentation or whatever you want! The main aim of mindmaps is to organise different concepts into a clear outcome. Here I have a list with diferent websites where you can create your own mindmaps. They usually recquire register in the websites, you can do it with your Google account, Facebook or even your e-mail. These are the websites:

I have created a mindmap about animals, classifying it depending on the skeleton structure (vertebrate or invertebrate), reproduction and nutrition. The link to the mindmap: ANIMALS mindmap  I have created this mindmap with SpiderScribe and I have to say that I really like it because you can add images, files, maps and calendars into your mindmap!   Visuals and images are a great tool to catch sudents' attention and to increase motivation. As teacher we tend to upload and use different photos that we find in the Internet. But as you might not know, the photos that are sailing through the Internet has a owner/owners. Consequently, not only we have to give credit to the people that made the photo, but also is good to know the type of license of the photo. There are several websites where you can find hundreds of photos, such as Pixabay or Flickr . Since I know how does Creative Commons work, now I can give credit to the author of the image and also know when and where can I use that photo due to the licences. In the next lines I will explain and describe briefly a CLIL lesson activity with selected images from the Internet, giving credit to the authors and using the licences correctly. Storyboard a video project

Hello again! The last activity we worked on was the podcast, how was it? Did you enjoy doing the podcast? What difficulties did you have when doing it? In this entry I will introduce you our next activity: create a video. This video will be educational and we will be working on something related to Education. But first of all, we have to organise our ideas about the video. After having the ideas well organised, we will have to create a storyboard about the video. You can see in my entry about Creating Comics  where I explain how Storyboard works. This storyboard will reflect the characters, ideas, scenes and dialogues that will happen in the video afterwards.  My group and me have created a Storyboard about stories of diferent women whose work has not being recognised or attributed to them.
