Content Curation Tool - Pinterest

  Have you ever heard about Pinterest ? It is a website where you can find thousands of images classifies on different topics. Pinterest is a content curation tool, which is a tool that help us to organize and clollect your materials so as you can share and show it. Apart from Pinterest, there are a lot of websites that are very good tools, such as the following ones: Symbaloo . Lyst.ly. Pearltrees . Among those tools, Pinterest is the one that I have been using for a long time. I love Pinterest, not only because it can be very inspiring for ANY topic, but also you can have very well organized your images by creating different panels and subpanels. The use of images in our lessons!

  Visuals and images are a great tool to catch sudents' attention and to increase motivation. As teacher we tend to upload and use different photos that we find in the Internet. But as you might not know, the photos that are sailing through the Internet has a owner/owners. Consequently, not only we have to give credit to the people that made the photo, but also is good to know the type of license of the photo. There are several websites where you can find hundreds of photos, such as Pixabay or Flickr . Since I know how does Creative Commons work, now I can give credit to the author of the image and also know when and where can I use that photo due to the licences. In the next lines I will explain and describe briefly a CLIL lesson activity with selected images from the Internet, giving credit to the authors and using the licences correctly.                                   This is me!! You might know how do I look in real life, but this is quite close to me! This is an avatar, and you can do it with yourself. There are several web site apps where you can create your avatar but in this case I have used Bitmoji . In this app you can create an avatar of whoever you want! You and your family can have an avatar. The avatars can be used to make fun activities with students. Some of those are listed bellow: Avatars can be used for the profile photo of our email or other social media. They can be used by the teacher in a very interesting web: Viko . In this website the avatars can talk, so they can create messages with different voice effects than can be funny and motivating for the students.
